Babies in Bloom

While Adam and Sandra were here - Nancy held a baby shower for Sandra.  Decorations for Baby showers are very particular - and if you do not want to have them messed up - just send the guys out for pink balloons and tie them to the lampost- that keeps the house from getting messed up and the food stuff from being sampled...

Nancy with both her daughters in law.  Both have "buns" in the oven.  By the years end we will have 4 Grandchildren

Getting tanked

Many months ago I found a great deal on Craigs list for an aquarium - with the moves we made I was not able to get it set up, until this time.  Since Adam is the biologist - he was more than willing to help.  He brought with him - some "seasoned drift wood" from Lake James - some aquatic bacteria from his tanks and great expertise.

This is Spring?

Adam and Sandra came North for thier "Spring Break".
This snow surprise the first morning more than cancelled plans to go fishing!

(Yes they are still driving grandpa's 92 Oldsmobile - The olds knows snow and we think we may have heard it snicker a bit at all this!)

Basic "guy" training

Noah's dad brought home a pocket knife for Noah - but due to the presence of a little brother at his home, Noah's "Carving" or "Whit-lin" training had to be moved offsite to grandpa's,

Noah's tecnique was well improved in just a little while - but remembering which is the sharp side of the knife can be confusing

The old piece of wood we found in the basement was a bit tough so we went out in the back yard where I had recently cut some small trees from between the garage and fence.  This green wood was perfect beginning stock

Noah proudly showing off what will be the barrel of a 1820's Colt - over and under dueling pistol replica

We also carved out a Cross for Easter - Noah wanted to carve a point on the bottom of the Cross so it could be used as a sword.

I did not mention to him that John the Baptist called Jesus the Word - and the Writer of Hebrews called the Word the Sword of the Spirit...all of these the most powerful use against evil in the world -
Ahh! The ultimate weapon!...The Cross!
