Judah and Broden's Weekend - or How to make cookies!

Judah and Broden Came over Dec 12 and 13 for a fun weekend...

And part of that was making cookies!

First - make some dough

 Put Puzzles Together and play trucks while the dough is chillin'

Roll out the dough and cut the cookies

Play Trains while the cookies bake and cool

Frost and decorate the cookies!

Serve and Eat!

After eating cookies - get into some heavy construction to work it off!

Then make some Big -Ol - Pancakes!   "Yeah Buddy!

 Then Head on down the tracks to a train show...What fun!

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was at our house - so we are Thankful....

Apparently The food was so good - we ate it rather than take any other pictures of it - or anyone eating...guess we were hungry!

November 2014 Updates

Since we just turned the page to December - here are a few updates from last month

We had the "usually October" treasure hunt in November...it is just the way it was!

Elizabeth is happy with the truck - since the boys left it alone!

Judah's 3rd Birthday

Grandpa and Grandma decided to take Judah out for his Birthday - so here are a few pics of the fun

We Checked out the Walker Roadhouse - great sirloin burgers and fries!

 We then went on a pumpkin hunt.

 They were not too hard to find.....

Picking out the right one however is a bit of a challenge!

Got Snails?

Just about the time I think the snails are done breeding - we have a massive egg laying event.

I took about half the eggs out and still had a great hatch!

These are about a half inch and only a month old

The shredded lettuce leaf has only been in there  about 8 hours

Raising the roof

 So we had a rotten roof that was flat - rather than make another rotten flat roof we had David G help out by building a peaked roof

Here is is all done - well insulated and properly vented...now to redo the inside

Oh yes here is a picture of Nancy's new work place at Phelps dining Hall at Hope College - she is at the far end....talking

Elizabeth's 1 year old party

Elizabeth turned one year old recently - so of course there was a party - here she is sporting her party dress and party smile for Grandpa and Grandma...

Mara (Melissa and Ryan's Dog)  also turned one year old - so they had the party together....we of course being socially unaware - brought Elizabeth a card and a present - but only got Mara a card...she did not seem to notice - and being gracious was willing to share her soggy rawhide bones with us.
