Christmas with the Baars

This is the table the adults were going to sit at...but Sydney claimed it for the kids, and said something about the 99% and occupy the big table!

Judah wishing he had teeth

Broden digging in!

Nancy created a puzzle hunt for each of the age groups - find all the pieces and put it together for a prize.  some of the adults are still trying to figure it out!

Broden found the doll toothbrush and tooth paste were irresistible...and yes he brushed

Maggie looking for puzzle parts...Broden with his find!

Judy and Sophie!

It was a great time - but the kids were moving so fast I ended up with many pictures of carpet - and walls where kids where at the time I took the picture - oh well!

Chirstmas Cookies

Here is the very basic visual insturctions of how to make Christmas Cookies
1.  Have Grandma make the dough ahead of time.

2.  Roll the dough

3.  Take Turns cutting out the cookies

4. collect the scraps of dough - eat some - and make the rest into another ball of dough

Squeeze it good!

5.  Wait forever for them to bake - watch them close so they do not burn!

6.  Frost them and decorate them with Sprinkles

....Lots of Sprinkles!

Enjoy!

Getting into the dining room!

ON Monday I was so excited to begin stripping that pink flowered wall paper I almost forgot to take a before picture!

Behind the trim of the cupboard - was this almost psychedelic patterned paper - 3 layers down.

This reveals the original colors - the green strip is original color of the wall from the 50's then the gold then the 3 layers of wall paper

This shows the cabinet gone - and opening up a storage closet that was useless until now.

This is the result by Thursday - still some trim work to do and then all the way around the kitchen..That will not take place for awhile.  Hey it's Christmas - time for some fun!
